A Brief History of Photography

So the term has begun to be well on its way, and predictably, free time has become an Utopian ideal dreamt of longingly but never achieved. This week, I have two presentations and two tours — one of a museum, one of a conservation lab — as well as at least one talk. And that’s quite aside from regular classes (although presentations take place during class, so at least there’s that!)

I’m actually kind of excited about my presentations. My brothers would say it is because I like to hear myself talk.

Anyway. So I should have exciting things to write about… eventually. What I have right now, however, is this amazing video on the history of photography, as explained by Art Kaplan of the Getty Conservation Institute. Even if you’re not a conservator, this is pretty interesting.
